Changing states, perspectives, beliefs and/or habits is tough.
It's immediately inspiring and empowering to begin change and make a step in the new direction. Most people don't need help 'wanting to change'.
Approximately 45% of your day is controlled by habits. That means only 55% requires decisions.
Approx 95% of your decisions are under subconscious control.
___
To put that simply, when you're not just repeating old habits and behaviours, the decisions you make are mostly decided by the needs of your subconscious.

___
How does it decide on whats the best course of survival?
By what's shown to have worked in the past.
___

Choosing a new behaviour or action and sticking to it consistently enough to become automated is difficult.
The reason most people repeat old behaviours, change actions for a little while but almost always end up back where they started is that change requires more than initial motivation or discipline.
Its requires consistency, it requires a change in understanding, and most importantly it needs the subconscious to get on board and see the survival benefit to the new action.
For something to become consistent long term, it needs to be enjoyable and beneficial.
___
The more stubborn you are, the more stuck in your ways, stuck in your beliefs and stuck in your head, the harder habit-change will be.
Practising adaptability and flexibility in our thoughts is the precursor to effectively changing habits.
Reducing stress and maximising mindfulness is the key to having more conscious control.
___
We'd like to think our habit change system makes all this a little easier to achieve while bringing you back to the key criteria.
How can I make the new action easier to do, more enjoyable, more rewarding and easily cued while making the old habit hard to do, hidden from being triggered and re-framed to change the current perception of benefit?
