Don't go back into your shell.

It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut, caught in a loop, Repeating behaviours you know aren’t helping you get to where you want to be. (change that.. need to be)

After a loss, rejection, perceived failure or lesson our survival mechanism can over-activate and the number one choice of action is to make sure that the pain we felt NEVER HAPPENS TO US AGAIN!

__________

You’ve put yourself out there and failed Survival Response = “Never put yourself out there again. Play in your lane, stay in the shallow end and never play big again”. You took a risk and it backfired. Instead of being crowned in glory you’re crowned in shit. Survival Response = “Never ever take a risk or back yourself again. I can’t believe you were so stupid and arrogant. See what you have done now”?

You had a dream and acted on it once. Survival Response = Some people are just lucky and I’m not one of them. What's the point in dreaming about ‘xyz', It doesn’t happen to people like me.. (this can become a realisation even if reality says there was only 1 previous experience across a lifetime that backs up this belief)..

You were cheated on, lied to or backstabbed by someone you let under your guard Survival Response = "That's it, I will never ever let my guard down or trust another person again.."

________

Many times we are completely oblivious to the fact we have made this ’set in stone’ agreement with the subconscious and just spend the next 5, 10, 15, 50 years on loop playing in safe in our lane.

_________

Stepping out of our comfort zone is where the magic happens. If you’ve experienced loss, disappointment, pain, failure or regret in the past it can be scary as hell to step out of the box again. But you have to You simply must do!  Life was meant to experience, to love, to have fun and to constantly grow and expand.

I think Tony Robbins said it best when he said: "If you’re not growing, you’re dying”.   There really is only one choice if you want to live close to your best life. . #mindbodyhq #themindbodyguy #potential #habitchange #stepoutofyourcomfortzone
